About Us

Lalor Park Community Garden (LPCG) is a not-for profit community organisation that has been operating for over ten years. Our vision has always been to create a beautiful and inviting community space where people can meet together, garden together, have fun, and build long term supportive friendships.
We have a broad membership base that is open to anybody wishing to share in this vision. Within our membership we have a number of local community groups such as churches, a bushwalking club, and local preschools. All these groups have access to and use the garden’s facilities. The garden and kitchen has also been used by other community groups wishing to host events including a men’s group, a disabled group, and an art group. Open invitations are regularly extended to the community to join us for harvest festivals (such as the Corn Fest) and community celebrations (such as Picnic in the Park).
We are always open to sharing facilities with other community organisations. For example, local schools and preschools regularly visit our garden either as part of their education program, or for harvest activities by invitation (eg. berry picking).
